Today I'm sharing yet another most easy recipe of poha. This is one of most favorite food of my dad. As you all know its Navratri time in India which means festive mood with lots of fun, excitement, Dandiya, Garba, Dancing and Fasting, so that results in drained of the energy. And then to stay energetic we need healthy food alternatives.

This sweet Poha recipe is a very quick, easy to make healthy recipe. I'm going to make Poha with sugar and ghee and if you prepare this in cooking oil, you don't get the exact taste and feel of this recipe. The recipe I am sharing is coming under fast to cook, good to eat recipes.

Ingredients required for making Meetha Poha

  • 120-140 grams  Flattened Rice (Poha) 
  • 7-8 tsp sugar or as per taste
  • 3-4 Cardamom 
  • 1tbsp Ghee 
  • 10-12 Almonds
  • 1tbsp raisins




Let's go on step by step preparation of Meetha Poha recipe




◾Rinse the Poha properly under running tap water. With the help of colander, allow the water to drain off and set aside for 7-10 minutes.




◾Heat tbsp ghee in a non stick pan. Fry almonds on slow flame, take out and set aside. 



◾In the same pan, add cardamom saute for 5-10 seconds

◾Add Poha, saute them on slow flame for 2-3 minutes, then add sugar.

◾ Cook on slow flame, till sugar gets dissolved, this will take 3-5 minutes. 






◾Remove from a gas stove. Your Poha are ready for serving. Serve hot, garnished with almonds and raisins.
