Methi Ki Sabzi



How to prepare Methi Ki Sabzi | Stir Fry Fenugreek Leaves | Methi Bhaji Recipe | Methi ki Sukhi Bhaji



Today I am partaking in one of my most favorite and wonderful green leafy vegetable. My today's recipe is excellent and an easy recipe of Methi leaves which are stir fried in garlic, tomato gravy and flavored with desiccated coconut and indian spices.


Methi leaves have a unique, strong flavor and used as food, spice and medicine since ancient times. Methi is full of vitamins, protein, iron and good dietary fiber. 



Methi is actually women's food and works great for many women's health related issues like balancing hormones, reduce symptoms like discomfort and menstrual cramps associated with PMS, increases milk production in lactating mothers, seeds works great on skin inflammation and scars and work wonders for our skin.

  • Preparation Time 10-15 minutes
  • Cooking Time 10-15 minutes
  • Difficulty level-easy
  • Serves 3-4

Ingredients required for Methi Sabzi


  • 2 Bunch Methi leaves
  • 15-20 Garlic Cloves - Finely Chopped
  • 2tbsp Coconut Milk or desiccated coconut
  • 4-5 Tomatoes (puree)
  • 5-6 Green chillies (As per taste) 
  • 2tbsp cooking oil 
  • Salt to taste



Method:


Step 1: Mise en Place


◾ Fenugreek leaves - Discard the stems of Methi and wash the Methi leaves thoroughly. Chop the Methi leaves finely and keep it aside, until needed.



◾Peel and chop garlic

◾ Make tomato puree..







Step 2: CookingTime


◾Heat oil in a pan, add garlic, sauté it for 1-2 minutes, till the change in color. 



◾Add chopped tomatoes green chilies and ginger, cook for 5-7 minutes (First 2 minutes on high flame and then on slow flame for 2-3 minutes) When it is cooked and the oil is separated..




◾ add dessicated coconut and  Methi leaves, blend well and 






◾cook for 8-10 min till done..,


◾ Methi Ki Sabzi is ready to dish out. Serve hot.
