Breadcrumbs are used in a wide range of dishes.
Bread is very perishable, so it should be consumed within one or two. Third day, even if we had refrigerated, then also feels that freshness is gone.
The best use of unused bread, make bread crumbs, keep in airtight container, and use them when needed. This is a great way to use one day old bread.
Bread crumbs can be made in different ways, like if you are looking for very soft crumbs,
With the help of bread knife, cut the bread into crumbs. Try to cut the bread as fine as possible.
The one i am showing here is dry bread crumbs.
These dry bread crumbs are very light and super crunchy.
Required
◾Bread Slices 5-6
Method
◾Lay bread slices on a non stick tava (Griddle pan) in a single layer on a slow flame.
◾Dry Roast for about 6-7 minutes, turn the slices over, and dry roast for an additional 4-5 minutes. The bread should be perfectly crisp when you remove it from the tava. It should snap when you break up the pieces of bread.
◾Don't give color to bread slice, if you dry roast on high flame, in that case, your crumbs will become dark golden brown. You have to decide how you want to go for...
◾Let them cool down naturally, break bread slices into small pieces. Place bread pieces into either a mixer or a blender, and process until the bread crumbs have an even, fine texture.
◾Store your bread crumbs in an airtight container in the freezer for up to six months.
