Today I am sharing yet another very famous, delicious and very rich breakfast combination. Sayun Patata is sweet and savory sindhi breakfast recipe. It gives you feeling of royal treatment when this menu is served in front of you.
Seyun is Sindhi word which means Seviyan (Vermicelli). Patata means Aloo. Seyun Patata is basically a combination of Sweet Seviyan and Crispy Deep Fried Spicy Potatoes.

Sweet Seviyan Without Milk Recipe

✒ Ingredients Required
- 200 grams Vermicelli
- 80 grams sugar or as per your taste (approx 15 -16 tsp)
- 1½ tbsp ghee
- 400-450 ml water
- 10-12 Almonds
- 1tbsp raisins
- 1tbsp pistachio
Method:
✏ Step by step process of Sweet Seviyan Preparation Without Milk
◾Break the seviyan into ½ inch cm or medium sized pieces.
◾Heat the ghee in a heavy bottomed or nonstick pan over medium heat for a few seconds, don't make it very hot. Add the vermicelli. Stir fry on a slow flame for 5-6 minutes, keep stirring constantly to get the even color. Fry the vermicelli till it turns into golden light brown in color.
◾Add water, combine well. Now cook vermicelli on a medium to high flame, till water is 95% evaporated. Keep constantly stirring to avoid lumps.
◾Garnish with almonds, pistachio and raisins, Serve hot with crispy Aloo fry.
Notes
1. Water quantity depends on the quality of vermicelli you are preparing.. Like I have used very thin quality vermicelli so added water accordingly. The thumb rule for this recipe is to use the double quantity of water in proportion to vermicelli.
2. At the time of stir frying vermicelli give full concentration on vermicelli, don't shift focus on any other work, as chances of getting burnt is very high. I love to add this famous quote :) "Nazar hati durghatna gati!" :) Minor shift in focus will spoil the recipe.

Crispy Potato Fry

✏INGREDIENTS
- 5-6 Potatoes (cut into cubes)
- 250-300 ml Refined oil for frying
- 2tsp Coriander Powder
- 2tsp Red chilly Powder
- 1tsp Turmeric Powder
- Salt to taste
METHOD
◾Heat oil in frying pan, when oil is medium hot, add potatoes.
◾Cook on high fire for 7-8 minutes, stir occasionally. When potatoes get cooked, separate out the excess oil with the help of a strainer.
◾ Now add dry ingredients and combine well.
◾ Cover the lid, simmer for one minute or two. Serve hot with Sweet Seviyan.
