Paneer Bhurji



Paneer Bhurji is a popular Indian recipe made from crumbled cottage cheese, onions, tomatoes, green chilies and spices.

Required


✔250 gms Paneer - (crumbled)

✔2 medium Onions - (chopped finely)

✔2 Green Chillies - (chopped)

✔6-7 garlic cloves (chopped)

✔1 small piece Ginger (chopped)

✔2 medium Tomatoes (chopped finely)

✔1 cup peas (blanched)




◾Dry ingredients

✔1tsp Garam Masala 

✔1tsp Turmeric 

✔2tsp Red Chilly Powder

✔1tsp coriander powder

✔Salt - to taste


◾Ghee or oil - 1 tbsp





Step 1: Make Paneer

Refer this recipe for making paneer at home.



After making paneer, cut half in cubes and half quantity crumble it and keep aside


Step 2: Blanch peas

Blanch peas - this process will take 3-5 minutes.




Step 3: Cooking Time

◾Heat oil in pan and add onions. Cook on high flame till turn golden brown. (This step will take 3- 5 minutes). 


◾Add ginger garlic finely chopped. Cook for one minute on high flame and then add tomatoes, cook on high flame for 3-4 minutes.


◾Add green chillies, mix well, cook tomatoes on slow flame, covering lid, till it gets cooked property and oil is separated ( This process will take 5-7 minutes).



◾Add dry ingredients, mix well, add paneer and blanched peas. Mix and add one cup water.


◾Cook on slow flame for 5-7 minutes, covering lid, till oil separates.



◾open lid add gram masala powder, serve hot with Indian Roti.
