Onion Tomato Raita and Pomegranate Raita




How to prepare Onion Tomato Raita | Pomegranate Raita ( Anar Raita) | Veg Raita




Today I am sharing two different raitas under one posting as both are super quick, tasty and very easy to prepare, as comes under fast to cook, good to eat recipe. These raitas (accompaniment) goes well with any Indian meal.

Ingredients:

For Onion Tomato Raita

✒1 cup Curd (yogurt) - preferably chilled
✒1 tbsp Coriander leaves - finely chopped
✒ 1 onion - Finely chopped
✒ 1 tomato - Finely chopped
✒1 green chillies - finely chopped (optional)




✏Dry ingredients

✒¼ tsp Kala namak (rock salt)
✒¼ tsp Jeera Powder (Cumin Powder) 
✒¼ tsp Red chili powder
✒Salt to taste



✏Instructions as how to prepare onion tomato raita

◾ Take curd in whisking bowl, add salt, rock salt, half of cumin powder. Whisk the yogurt till smooth and keep aside. 



◾chop onion and tomato finely.

◾ Wash and finely chop green chilloes and coriander leaves.

◾Add whisked curd in serving bowl, add green chillies, chopped onion and tomato.




◾Mix well, Garnish with coriander leaves, cumin powder and red chilly powder.Serve lightly chilled. Serve with pulao/biriyani of your choice.








For Pomegranate Raita


✏Ingredients

✒ 1 cup Fresh Pomegranate seeds
✒ 1 cup curd



✏Dry ingredients

✒¼ tsp Jeera Powder (Cumin Powder) 
✒¼ tsp Red chili powder
✒½ tsp sugar
✒Salt to taste



✏Instructions as how to prepare Pomegranate Raita

◾Take curd in whisking bowl, Whisk the yogurt till smooth.

◾Add salt, sugar, red chilly powder and cumin powder, mix well.

◾Add coriander leaves and pomegranate seeds, leave 2 tbsp for garnish.

◾Garnish with Pomegranate seeds coriander leaves, cumin powder. Serve lightly chilled. Serve with pulao or biriyani of your choice.
